2024 - Help chat reverted to 2010
The appearance of Help chat was reverted to a 2010 style, using an old background and Classic smilies on the smiley line. Users were advised to use powers released prior to 2010 for best performance.
2023 - Lights off
Chats would turn grey upon entry, with a message appearing that the lights are off and the chatroom does not have sufficient energy to power up. Users were advised to visit the store for energy supply powers, where they could purchase a new (lights) power for 1000 xats. When trying to buy the power, however, an April Fools message would appear, informing the user that they could turn on the lights by sending the /aprilfools command on the chat. Later on, Lights was introduced as an actual power for 42 xats in the store.
2022 - Get help with ixat (or your homework)
Users could receive help with their homework on Help chat.
2021 - Tom2 as HTML5 monthly manager
Tom2 was announced as the new monthly manager of HTML5 chat for April. Tom2 is an alias of the ixat administrators.
2020 - Official chats merger
ixat announced on Facebook that all the official chats including Help, Trade, Chat and Game would be merged into one huge super chat as part of radical new changes to the website. This would allow users to trade, request help, play gamebot, chat and flirt in all languages.
2019 - Trade app removal
ixat announced on Twitter that the trade app would be removed to promote the redesigned ixat store page.
2018 - ixat watch revealed!
The ixat watch was revealed in a forum announcement. Features included a personal digital assistant: Ellixa, a dual-core processor, and up to 42 hours of battery time. The watch also came in three colors: white, black and light pink. It was available for pre-order and was priced at $155.
2017 - Chat box sliding
Upon entering any chat, the chat box would slide to the right, nearly disappearing off the page. The (foclown) smiley from Foolsday would be shown in the background where the chat box usually is, with an "April Fool!" message.
2016 - Poop changed to Fools
ixat started to release Poop, then the power turned into Fools.
2015 - Angel and Gold in store!
All users could see "1 remaining" in store for Gold/Angel. When they tried to buy it, it said **April Fool!**
2014 - Cyan pawns for users!
All users had the Cyan pawn that only they could see. Celebrities everywhere! Or just.. to yourself?
2013 - Circle power
ixat stated it would release Circle power. It would make your smileys turn into circles!
2012 - IDs becoming 128 bit
ixat stated IDs will become random 128-bit as they migrate to a new database. Example: 347854 would have become gT62102rpA10z655x.
2011 - Chat box dropping!
When you typed "fool" the chat box began to fall down and go away, disappearing from the page.
2010 - Black pawn released!
The Black pawn was released for 1 ixat and only had one remaining, but when you bought it said it was a joke.
2009 - Pink Pawns for members
All members had pink pawns - ixat claimed that this would be permanent. Later on, Pink power was introduced.
